Moremi Game Reserve

Camp Moremi has a well-deserved legacy in the Botswana tourism industry for being able to deliver the classic African safari experience. Completely rebuilt in 2018 as a modern luxury safari lodge, Camp Moremi is located within the world-renowned Moremi Game Reserve.

GUIDED GAME DRIVES	Morning and afternoon game drives to explore the many different ecosystems that the Moremi Game Reserve has to offer.
MOTORISED BOAT SAFARIS	Guided excursions through the deeper channels and lagoons of the Okavango Delta in hard-bottom aluminum boats. The boats are equipped with comfortable seats, a foldaway canvas roof and life jackets.
BIRD WATCHING	Birding is quite spectacular, especially during spring and summer when the migrants breed.

Lodge Facilities

FAMILIES	Accepts children from six years and older.
Rooms	11 Luxury Tents & 1 Family Tent (2 en-suite bedrooms) accommodating a maximum of 24 guests.
Pilot/Guide	1 x Pilot/Guide Tent (not same standard as guest rooms).
Dining	Various indoor and outdoor dining locations.
Camp Fire	Open air fire deck in front of camp connected to the main area via a raised boardwalk.
Swimming Pool	On a separate deck with easy access from the main area.
Bar	Fully stocked self service bar.
Curio Shop	Accepts cash and credit card payments.
Laundry	Daily, inclusive laundry service available.
Water	Reverse osmosis water treatment plant supplies drinking water (bottled water on request).
Electricity	Operates on AC 220V generator power during the day and evening. The generator is switched off at night and inverted 12-volt DC lighting provides room and bathroom illumination overnight. 220V AC plug’s available in guest rooms.
Internet	Guest laptop available with basic internet connection in the library – there is no Wi-Fi available.

En-Suite Bathroom	En-suite showers, hand basin and toilet facilities.
Fans	Fans are available in all rooms – there is no air-conditioning in the rooms.
Power	220V multi adaptor plugs for charging photographic equipment.
Safe	A small pass-code protected safe for storing valuables.
Flashlight	For use in the rooms at night.
Air Horn	For use in case of an emergency.
Hairdryer	A small hairdryer is available in each room.
Bathroom Amenities	A range of bathroom amenities including biodegradable soaps, shower gels etc.
Tea & Coffee Facilities	A small kettle with tea and coffee available.

ACCOMMODATION

Camp Moremi boasts 12 expansive, modern styled thatched safari tents, including one family room, and accommodates a maximum of twenty-four guests. The family room which includes two separate bedrooms and bathrooms connects through interleading doors. All standard tents are expansive with spacious bathrooms consisting of double vanities and showers, and private decks offering views over the Moremi Game Reserve. Subtle décor and lighting fixtures allow for a natural and warm atmosphere within each room to create a peaceful and harmonious blend with the surrounding environment.

ACTIVITIES & WILDLIFE SIGHTINGS

Guest activities include a choice of morning and afternoon game drives throughout the many different ecosystems that the Moremi Game Reserve has to offer or the possibility to explore the Xakanaxa Lagoon and its surrounding channels by boat. This blend of activities allows for access to incredible landscapes, impressive wildlife as well as the opportunity to enjoy the picturesque waters of the Okavango Delta.

Our team of experienced Professional guides will introduce you to a whole new world of wildlife; watch a Leopard stretched out lazily in the branches of a Mopane tree, herds of Elephant grazing under a canopy of green or a pride of Lions camouflaged in the long grass. Moremi Game Reserve’s incredible wetlands support a vast number of antelope, including Impala, Kudu and Waterbuck. Birdlife is prolific and the majestic Fish Eagle and vivid Malachite Kingfisher are frequently seen and even the rare Pel’s Fishing Owl makes an occasional appearance, to the delight of guides and guests alike.

The prime location of Camp Xakanaxa (pronounced Ka-ka-na-ka) on the banks of the Khwai River on the Xakanaxa Lagoon, in the heart of the Moremi Game Reserve, makes it one of the very few safari camps that offers guests an authentic, year-round Okavango Delta land and water safari experience.

Boteti River Boating Safari

Leroo La Tau

Leroo La Tau is situated on the western bank of the Boteti River, northwest of Khumaga Village and about 140 kilometres southeast of Maun. The eastern bank of the Boteti forms the boundary of the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park, which stretches away from the riverbank towards its interior of scrubland and mineral-rich grasslands.
